About Art by KT

Art has always been at the heart of who I am. From a young age, I’ve been drawn to creative expression, and that passion has only deepened over time. In high school, I was honoured to have my work exhibited at the Homer Watson Art Gallery — a formative experience that encouraged me to keep exploring and sharing my art.

Today, my practice spans multiple mediums, including illustration, mixed media, and tattooing — with around 80% of my own tattoos being self-done as a personal and creative outlet. I currently work as an instructor at the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery, where I guide others in their own artistic journeys. I also co-host the art program at A Better Tent City when possible, using art as a tool for community and healing.

In addition to visual art and teaching, I illustrated a published children’s book — another step in my ongoing mission to make meaningful, expressive work that connects with people of all ages and backgrounds.

Whether through teaching, tattooing, or creating in the studio, I see art as both a personal necessity and a shared experience — one I’m always excited to grow within and contribute to.
